  • The Center for Community Studies (CCS) at Jefferson Community College has completed its annual North Country Current Issues Survey. In the study, a total of 1,402 adult residents from the tri-county region were surveyed. The study included questions pertaining to diversity, equity, and inclusion, housing, childcare, recreation, food security and access, services in one's community, and workforce and economic issues.

  • According to recent data from the Center for Community Studies (CCS), about one quarter of North Country adults are hesitant to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. Partnering with the Public Health Department in the Falk School of Sport and the Human Dynamic at Syracuse University, the CCS set out to better understand knowledge, attitudes, and perceptions regarding the pandemic and vaccine hesitancy.

  • The Center for Community Studies at Jefferson Community College released the findings of the 6th Annual St. Lawrence County Survey of the Community at a virtual meeting of the St. Lawrence County Board of Legislators on Monday, April 19, 2021.The survey is an annual inventory of the attitudes and opinions of a representative sample of St. Lawrence County adult residents.

    The Center for Community Studies (CCS) at Jefferson Community College released the findings of the 13th Annual Lewis County Survey of the Community at a meeting of the Lewis County Board of Legislators on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. The meeting took place in the Board of Legislator's Chambers located on the second floor of the Lewis County Court House, 7660 North State Street, Lowville. The public was invited to attend the presentation.

  • The Center for Community Studies at Jefferson Community College (JCC) held a twentieth anniversary celebration October 24th in the Deans Collaborative Learning Center, located on the college campus. College faculty and staff, northern New York community members and Center for Community Studies board members, both past and present, gathered to reflect on the history and accomplishments of the Center.
